James R. Bailey

For well over twenty years, Jim has represented businesses, entrepreneurs, homeowners, utilities, multinational corporations, private landowners, governmental entities and others in a variety of matters involving electric power, administrative law, building construction, oil & gas, and general business litigation.  Jim started his career as the general counsel for a Texas municipally owned electric utility where he was in charge of all of the legal matters for the utility.  From 1989 to 2011, Jim practiced with the international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P.  In early 2011, Jim opened the doors on his own law firm, continuing to practice in the same areas.

Jim has the experience to skillfully handle and resolve legal matters in an efficient manner. Over the course of his career, Jim has learned to apply creative solutions to difficult problems. Jim is also committed to putting the interests of his clients first, which includes being responsive and straightforward.

Jim was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and attended the University of Texas at Austin both as an undergraduate and a law student. He is a proud father of three wonderful children.
